“I was fortunate enough to attend a planning session for BPW that was facilitate by Lea-Ann. She guided us through the steps necessary to identify our current position as an organization, our goals and how to achieve these goals. Results of this planning session will help us position ourselves in our area, and set direction for our organization to successfully move forward.”

I am an award-winning business woman with an accomplished track record in corporate and community service.

It all started with ambition and a sense of adventure

Even as a little girl I wanted to figure out how to build a business. In a single year — at the old age of 11, I worked three jobs. I mowed lawns with a push mower, delivered newspapers, and walked dogs for pet owners who worked during the day.

I was always hungry for knowledge too. When the Alaskan Iditarod was announced I wanted to see it for myself and understand the process for how the dogs were harnessed and managed throughout the race. I think I was ~12 years old then…too young to drive, so I walked to the nearest part of the race and watched team after team go by.

Yep, I snapped this shot with my Kodak: Iditarod sled dog race musher passing by me. Ft. Richardson, Alaska

I just loved the determination and drive of the sled dogs I saw.

As a kid, I took my jobs very seriously; realizing the importance for being responsible and dependable.

More than 35 years later, I still live by those same ideals: build, learn and enjoy.

An Entrepreneur grows up
After college, I worked for some of the world’s most well-known consumer products and commercial enterprise companies, including IBM, Memorex Telex, Champion Products, and Marvel Comics Group.

My corporate career was exciting. As a marketer who traveled the globe, I conducted marketing research, met with local teams to learn about their unique challenges and accomplishments, and represented the corporate brand at customer meetings, conferences and trade shows.

After years of advancing my career in corporate, I wanted more.

I searched for the ‘what’s next’ in my life. After deep thought of what makes me happy and how I can help others, I launched a consulting firm to help others learn how to market effectively.

Sleddogg Marketing is born

I applied the brand-building and product management experience I had learned from the big corporate powerhouses when I founded Sleddogg Marketing, LLC.  Today, organizations in the U.S. and around the globe bring me on board when they need a more proactive approach for dealing with competition.

From Olympic sponsorship activation to industry competitive positioning, I work with clients who want to be more effective and dynamic with their product line-up and in their marketing approach.

Answering the need to support films that make positive impact in the world, in 2009 I ventured into producing and marketing documentary films. You can find out more about my filmmaking credits by visiting my IMDb page.
