Duke
Teach doctors about marketing a business.
Challenge:
Physicians working towards achieving the equivalent to an MBA — the Master of Health Sciences Clinical Leadership, need real life exposure to business-related topics. They want to learn but they are tired! These students have an average work day of 16 hours so learning content must be current, but most importantly — it must be engaging and fun.
Approach:
[pullquote_right] Providing real world examples and thoughtful marketing lessons[/pullquote_right]With 3 hours to spend in a classroom environment, served as a Guest Lecturer who taught sleepy yet eager-to-learn physicians. Presentations encouraged participation and interactive discussions; physicians were asked to share different approaches which were then related to marketing philosophies. Laughter was not only encouraged, it was instigated!
Results:
[success]Provided real-world lessons in marketing philosophies, easy to understand and relate-able examples, and kept the room engaged.
