“When the Association Executives of North Carolina created a new vision and mission statement we realized quickly we wanted certain groups to recognize us, but we had no idea what we wanted to say. That’s when we were introduced to Lea-Ann. What a treat that was. During a 1-week Advisory Workshop, Lea-Ann guided our organization down a path that helped us understand our value proposition, better than even some strategic planners we’ve used before, and helped us develop clear and well thought out messaging that we can take to our key audiences. We learned a lot about our organization during this process. I had some pretty high expectations going into this process and let’s just say that Lea-Ann exceeded them. Great work!!”

Providing tips and tools in career success.

On Wednesday, October 17, 2012 – Sleddogg’s Lea-Ann W. Berst moderated a Career panel at William Peace University. The panel consisted of young professionals who shared their advice on how to get a job.

Their final thoughts for the audience:
1. Be on LinkedIn – start no later than Junior year. Don’t put your entire resume on LinkedIn.
2. Network in the right places. Make meaningful connections and be who you really are.
3. Have realistic expectations when looking for and interviewing for a job.
4. Be motivated – really want that job. The employer will take notice of that.

William Peace University’s Office of Career Services hosted the event called “Career Connections” — a series of undergraduate and graduate panels designed to connect alumni and community mentors with WPU students. Mentors discuss their career paths. The event also connects students with professionals for career information, networking, internship(s) and job leads.
