“Lea-Ann was brought on board to help our film develop and execute promotional approaches during production and for our premiere. As a strategist and a marketer who has a lot of experience with events and audience engagement, we knew we were in good hands. She was brought in to help us figure out our approach, and then put on retainer to help us execute.

When the Sundance grant committee complimented us on how well we defined our film’s target audience and strategy, we had to credit Lea-Ann. We’re currently working with her for the second time — currently on Pioneers in Skirts® — with plans to continue into the future.”

How to use a sponsorship to build your business —

Solopreneurs, especially freelance creatives, typically shy away from “selling” themselves to get new business. Many would like to find a way to create exciting and less stressful ways to grow their business and meet prospects.  For those who enjoy being involved with their community and in special interests, Lea-Ann W. Berst suggests to use local event sponsorship opportunities to build their business.

Lea-Ann, an activation marketer for more than 20 years, is offering FREE 60 minute seminars to the solopreneur or freelance community. If you have a MeetUp group or an organization that aims to educate your small business membership — this is for you.

Solopreneurs – no different than corporations – need to develop strategic marketing activities to grow their business, shares Lea-Ann. Due to my other commitments, I commit to offering up to four (4) a year.

What You Will LearnLearn how you can use a local event to build relationships with prospects and influentials, while simultaneously improving your visibility and good standing as a citizen in the community. Drawing on her vast experience with sponsorship marketing, Lea-Ann will explain the what and how-to’s and benefits of using sponsorship activities to build your business.

You’ll also learn the secret to success when things don’t go as planned – a lesson she learned first-hand herself when working on the 2008 Olympic Torch Relay.

Lea-Ann founded Sleddogg Marketing in 2002, after first working for years in the corporate world. Her clients are large and small, and coming from a variety of industries including technology, e-learning, retail, events management, health and wellness, and others. Companies such as Lenovo, GSK and Expertus have called on Lea-Ann for help in determining what sets them apart, and how to communicate that distinction to their markets.

Why am I doing this? I have a passion for helping those who have a dream. I’ve learned a lot about how to use sponsorship to position and grow a brand — I’d like to share what I can to help one-person businesses get started down a path they’ll enjoy.
